Common questions
- How do I log a day?
- Open the app. On the Today tab, under "How is today?", tap one of the four circles for
spotting, light, medium, or heavy. Tap the same circle again to clear it. That is the
whole interaction, and it is meant to take about a second.
- How do I log a day in the past?
- Go to the Calendar tab, tap the day you want, and use the panel underneath it.
- Why can I not see a prediction or a fertile window yet?
- Both are worked out from your own logged history, so they need something to work from.
Log a couple of periods and they will appear. They start out marked as low confidence
and firm up as you log more cycles, because the estimate is only ever as good as the
history behind it.
- Why does the flower not grow?
- It grows on days you check in. If you missed some days the flower keeps its stage, and
the streak count reflects the run of days you actually logged.
- Can I use this to avoid getting pregnant?
- No. Flowers Flo is not a contraceptive and must not be used as one. The fertile window
it shows is information about your own logged cycles, not a signal that any day is safe.

- Where is my data?
- On your iPhone, and nowhere else. There is no account and no server. See the
privacy policy for exactly what that does and does not
protect, including what happens if you have device backups turned on.
- How do I delete my data?
- Clear individual days in the app, or delete the app to remove all of it. Note that a
device backup made earlier can still contain it.
- I am not getting reminders.
- Check Settings, then Notifications, then Flowers Flo, and confirm notifications are
allowed. A Focus mode or Scheduled Summary can also hold them back. The app tells you on
the Today screen if it can see that notifications are turned off.
- Why do the reminders sometimes sound vague?
- That is deliberate. If your iPhone is set to show notification previews on the lock
screen, the app words its reminders so that someone glancing at your phone cannot tell
what the reminder is about. If your iPhone hides previews until you unlock, the
reminders say what they mean.
Reporting a problem with the app
If something is wrong, especially anything involving a lost or incorrect entry, please say so
by email. An entry that silently fails to save is the most serious kind of bug this app can
have, and it gets fixed first.
